Cable chain is created from perpendicular round or oval links that are exactly the same and connected together. The links of the chain can be flattened so that the chain is flat.
Rope chain consists of intertwined links that mimic the look of a genuine rope. It has a shiny, textured look and is durable and strong. These chains vary by the thickness and tightness of the braid or weave.
A curb chain consists of circular links that interlock and lie flat close together. It is made from oval or round links that are parallel to one another and all the same size.
Figaro chain has its origins in Italy and is worn around the world. The pattern of this chain is created with two or three round curb links followed by a long oval link.
Belcher chain, also called a rolo chain features links created from flat or half-round wire. The shape of the links may be round or oval. The outer edges are rounded and the inside is usually flat.
